Rupesh Kotiya

What a wonderful friend we have in Rupesh. He is only 41 years old, was diagnosed in June 2016 and retired shortly thereafter from NY Life and MainStay Investments after 11 years as a Regional Vice President. Though ALS has taken away the use of his arms, Rupesh continues to welcome all with his embracing smile and quick wit. He can no longer drive, depending on his wife and caregivers for assistance. He and Siobhan live in Plano with their two beautiful boys, Ronan, 6 and Keaton 4, who not only entertain him, but are the light of his world. Rupesh graduated from NC State University with a degree in finance and was honored last year to represent the community at our Warriors of Wall Street event in October. He will do so again this year and is honored that Wells Fargo and supporting firms conducted a golf tournament in his name at Prestonwood Hills Country Club on August 24. NY Life also conducted a corporate campaign in April in his honor to raise funds for ALS TDI towards ALS research.

Steve enjoyed a 21 year career as a respected financial advisor to his clients, many who were close friends. Steve was a Senior VP for Lehman Brothers for 10 years before passing from ALS. His unwavering faith, Irish wit and twinkle in his eyes remained always. A devoted husband and father; giving back to his community and church was very important to Steve.

Steve Wolfe

Steve was one of those larger than life guys…he worked hard, and played harder. Steve fought his ALS battle for 10 years and wanted to be remembered for his goodness, kindness and friendships. Steve earned his marketing and finance degree from SMU. He worked as a broker for 10 years, initially with Dean Witter in 1983, leaving for Shearson Lehman in the mid 80's until he retired and moved to Florida in mid 90’s. He leaves behind a legacy of stories and fun times with a multiplicity of friends.
